Farm Manager

Coldpiece Farm is a family run farm situated 10 minutes south of Reading. The grounds consist of a mixture woodland and grassland. The river Whitewater runs through the estate.
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Farm Manager to oversee the day to day running of our farm. The ideal candidate will have practical agricultural experience, strong leadership skills and a broad understanding of modern farming techniques, be mechanically minded and proficient in business management.
Key responsibilities:
- Plan, organise and coordinate daily farm activities.
- Ensure all farm machinery is maintained and serviced.
- Hire, train and supervise farm workers.
- Ensure all farming activities comply with ongoing government schemes/initiatives.
Essential skills:
- Excellent communication skills
- Tractor competency
- Hedge cutting, topping and bailing experience
- Chainsaw/tree felling knowledge
- Computer literacy, Microsoft Office, spreadsheets etc
Position: Full time, some weekends may be required.
Accommodation, if required can be discussed
Salary: £30,000 - £38,000 depending on experience
