We're recruiting multiple Family Time Workers to join a dedicated Children's Services team, supporting Looked After Children and their families through high-quality, child-focused interventions. The RoleAs a Family Time Worker, you'll deliver safe, meaningful and high-quality Family Time sessions, helping children maintain and develop positive relationships with their families while contributing to assessments and care planning. You'll work directly with children, parents and carers in a variety of settings, supporting families with complex needs and working alongside Social Workers and partner agencies to achieve the best possible outcomes.
What You'll Be Doing- Delivering supervised Family Time sessions that prioritise the safety and wellbeing of children.
- Building positive relationships with children, parents and carers.
- Supporting families through evidence-based interventions and parenting strategies.
- Contributing to risk assessments, safeguarding plans and child-focused assessments.
- Recording detailed observations and reports to support Social Workers in decision making.
- Working with children of all ages, including those with additional needs or behavioural challenges.
- Supporting rehabilitation plans and interventions designed to improve family outcomes.
- Working collaboratively with professionals across Children's Services and partner agencies.
- Managing your own caseload effectively while maintaining excellent records.
We're looking for individuals who are passionate about improving the lives of children and families and who can remain calm, professional and child-focused in challenging situations.
- A Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Health & Social Care, Early Years, Youth Work or a related subject.
- Experience working with children, young people and families.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
- Experience working within multi agency environments.
- The ability to build trusting relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
