Family Solicitor

Eventus Recruitment are seeking an experienced Family Solicitor to join a highly regarded and supportive Family Law team based in Solihull, West Midlands. This full-time Family Solicitor role offers the opportunity to work alongside an experienced Senior Family Partner within a collaborative and well-established department handling high-quality private family law matters.

Role Responsibilities

This Family Solicitor job will see you managing a varied caseload of private family law matters within a busy and supportive department. You will work closely with experienced senior members of the team while building strong client relationships and delivering sensitive and professional legal support during challenging circumstances. The employer is seeking a proactive and organised Family Solicitor who enjoys working collaboratively and takes pride in providing a high standard of client care.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a varied caseload of private family law matters independently
• Providing sensitive and professional support to clients throughout often difficult personal circumstances
• Working closely with senior members of the department on more complex family law matters where required
• Progressing matters proactively to ensure files are managed efficiently and within required timescales
• Advising clients on divorce and separation matters
• Assisting clients with financial remedy proceedings and related family law issues
• Handling Children Act matters and child arrangements cases
• Drafting legal documentation and correspondence to a consistently high standard
• Maintaining organised, accurate and compliant file management throughout all matters

Person Specification

You will already have experience working within private family law and will be confident managing your own caseload independently. You will also enjoy building strong client relationships and delivering a compassionate and professional service during sensitive family matters. You should also be able to demonstrate the following:

• 2-4 years PQE within Family Law, although other levels of experience will be considered
• Experience managing a range of private family law matters independently
• Strong communication and client care skills
• Excellent drafting and organisational abilities
• The ability to manage workloads effectively and meet deadlines
• A proactive, professional and empathetic approach
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well within a team environment
