Family Solicitor - Award-Winning Firm

Location: Sevonoaks ,Kent (Other offices available) Salary: Excellent + Benefits

My client, a highly respected and award-winning law firm, is seeking a talented Family Solicitor to join their growing team. This is a superb opportunity for a legal professional who is ready to take on a new challenge within a firm known for its supportive culture, high-quality work, and excellent reputation in family law.

This role would suit someone with experience handling a broad range of family law matters who is looking to make a real impact and play a part in the ongoing success and development of the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a diverse caseload including:
  • Divorce, separation, and financial settlements
  • Private and public law children matters
  • Domestic abuse and injunction applications
  • TOLATA claims and cohabitation disputes
  • Drafting pre-nuptial and cohabitation agreements
  • Handling your own files from instruction to completion
  • Supervising work of junior fee earners when required
  • Ensuring all files are managed in line with the firm's risk and compliance procedures
  • Supporting the department during periods of absence or high demand
  • Engaging with business development and contributing to marketing efforts

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive (CILEx), or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years' PQE in family law (PQE is a guide - all levels considered based on merit)
  • Experienced in handling a range of family law matters with minimal supervision
  • Confident in using case management systems
  • Commercially minded with good financial awareness and billing practices
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • A flexible, team-oriented approach with the ability to support colleagues
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime, including weekends when needed
