Family Solicitor (Public Law Focus) - Leadership Opportunity Sunderland / Newcastle

A well-established and highly respected law firm with offices in Sunderland and Newcastle is looking to grow its Family Law department, with a particular focus on Public Family Law.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Family Solicitor to take on a key leadership role, helping to develop and drive the firm's public law offering.

The Role

• Spearhead the firm's Public Family Law team, working closely with senior leadership to shape strategy and growth.
  
  
• Handle a caseload focused on care proceedings and matters involving local authorities, with the opportunity to supervise junior team members.
  
  
• Represent clients in complex and sensitive cases, ensuring the highest standards of legal support and advocacy.
  
  

What We're Looking For

• A qualified solicitor with solid experience in Public Family Law.
  
  
• Confidence in managing your own caseload and working under minimal supervision.
  
  
• A strong interest in progression and leadership - this role is perfect for someone ready to step up and make their mark.
  
  

Location You'll be based at one of our North East offices in Sunderland or Newcastle, with flexibility around hybrid working.
