A highly regarded regional law firm is seeking to appoint a Head of Private Family / Partner to lead and continue the growth of their established private family department. This opportunity is ideal for an ambitious senior family solicitor who wants to step into a leadership position within a supportive, modern, and well-connected practice.

The Opportunity

The incoming Partner will join a thriving team with a steady, consistent stream of varied private family work, ranging from financial remedy matters to complex children cases. The firm benefits from a strong and long-standing network of referrers, ensuring a reliable pipeline of good-quality instructions.

This hire is being made to develop and elevate the firm's high-end family work, particularly complex financial cases and matters involving high-net-worth individuals. A following is welcome but not essential - the firm already has the reputation and workflow in place for someone to thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the private family team, providing strategic direction and departmental oversight
  • Handle a caseload of private family matters, with particular exposure to complex financial work
  • Mentor, support and develop junior lawyers within the department
  • Build and strengthen relationships with new and existing referrers
  • Contribute to the wider leadership of the firm as part of the senior management structure
  • Drive the continued development of a high-end private family offering
About You
  • Experienced family solicitor with Partner-level expertise or ready to step into partnership
  • Strong background in private family work, particularly financial remedy
  • Confident leader with the ability to inspire and mentor others
  • Commercially minded, with an interest in developing a high-value practice area
