An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Family Solicitor to join a long-established, highly regarded and forward-thinking law firm based in Bury, Greater Manchester.

This opportunity for a Family Solicitor looking for genuine career progression and increased responsibility. You will work alongside a highly experienced Senior Family Solicitor who has progressed to Managing Partner and is now looking to gradually hand over a proportion of their existing caseload.

The role can therefore be tailored around the experience and ambitions of the successful candidate.

This role is realistically suitable for 1 year PQE Solicitor lookin for significant responsibility alongside mentorship. Alternatively or a more experienced Family Solicitor / Senior Family Solicitor with 10+ years' PQE, the role could immediately be a leadership position.

The Role:

The successful Family Solicitor will handle a predominantly privately funded family law caseload, with a particular emphasis on matrimonial finance and financial remedy work, alongside some private children matters.

Your caseload is likely to include:

• Divorce and separation
• Matrimonial finance and financial remedy proceedings
• High-value financial settlements
• Disputes concerning children
• General private family law matters

You should have:

• Qualification as a Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer.
• Experience in Private Family Law.
• Strong experience in matrimonial finance / financial remedy work.
• Some experience of private children matters.
• Excellent client care and communication skills.
• Strong drafting and negotiation abilities.
• A professional and commercially minded approach.
• The ability to manage a caseload with a high degree of autonomy.
• A genuine interest in developing your career and contributing to the wider success of the firm.
