We are looking for a Family Help Practitioner to join our dynamic and supportive team in East Riding of Yorkshire Council. This is a fantastic opportunity to work directly with families who have complex and interacting needs, helping them to build resilience, achieve positive change, and reduce the need for statutory intervention.
About the Role
As a Family Help Practitioner, you will:
- Be the lead professional for families, coordinating multi agency support.
- Undertake whole family assessments and develop outcome-focused support plans.
- Deliver a range of evidence based interventions, including parenting programmes.
- Work flexibly across community settings, including homes, schools, and Childrens Centres.
- Promote trauma informed practice and ensure the voice of the child is central to all work.
- Support innovation and continuous improvement within the service.
This is a frontline role where your ability to build trust, work collaboratively, and deliver impactful support will be key to achieving better outcomes for children and families.
What we are Looking For
We are seeking someone who:
- Holds an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
- Has experience working with children and families to deliver preventative interventions.
- Understands the social and economic challenges that affect family outcomes.
- Can lead and coordinate multi agency support and assessments.
- Has strong communication, time management, and partnership working skills.
- Is flexible, values driven, and committed to continuous professional development.
- Holds a full driving licence and has access to a vehicle.
