Family Activities Assistant

Volunteer Role - Gunpowder Mills

We are looking for volunteers to assist with the preparation and running of the activities, which are on offer when GM is open to the public.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the team to deliver workshop activities.
• Assisting with the running of family activities in the school holidays and/or weekend open days.
• Taking an active role in the preparation, setting up and clearing up of the rooms/areas and equipment.
• Helping create a fun and informative environment for the visitors.
• Ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with the Company's Health and Safety Policy and other relevant policies.

Volunteer Expectations

• Ability to contribute as part of a team and individually.
• Good people skills and an ability to maintain a professional manner.
• Able to communicate politely and efficiently with all ages of visitors.
• Interest in heritage, science and/or nature, and a desire to learn about the site.

Your volunteering role will be subject to satisfactory references.

Guidance and training will be provided.
