Overview

Hodge Hill Girls' School is seeking to appoint an ambitious, committed and inspiring Faculty Leader of Humanities and Subject Leader of Religious Studies to join our dedicated and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher or an established middle leader who is ready to take the next step in their leadership journey.

The Role

As Faculty Leader of Humanities, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across History, Geography and Religious Studies. You will play a key role in shaping curriculum provision, raising standards, and developing staff within the faculty, while also leading Religious Studies as a subject specialist.

Key responsibilities
  • Leading, managing and developing the Humanities faculty to ensure high-quality teaching and learning
  • Driving high standards of achievement and progress for all students
  • Supporting, coaching and mentoring staff, contributing to a culture of professional growth and collaboration
  • Monitoring and evaluating curriculum impact, student progress and outcomes
  • Contributing to whole-school improvement as an integral member of the middle leadership team
