Facilities Technician, Intermediate

We have an exciting opportunity as a Facilities Technician, Intermediate and this role will involve the following

Main Purpose

• Individual contributor with comprehensive knowledge in the specific area.
• Ability to execute highly complex or specialised work.
• Knowledge acquired from several years of experience or specialist training in particular area.
• Works independently, applies standards yet adapts precedent and may make departures from established processes to resolve problems.
• Responsible for the reliable operation of the organisation's buildings, facilities, machinery and equipment.

Main Responsibilities

• Activities include conducting scheduled maintenance, diagnosing and troubleshooting faults and undertaking repairs, and selecting, engaging and working with outside contractors.
• Performs the most complex skilled maintenance and repair services of facility systems such as mechanical, electrical and building systems.
• Specialised ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.
• High knowledge of methods, practices and techniques of maintaining building and facilities.

Education & Experience

• NFQ level 6 qualification in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 12 months of related work experience.
