Are you someone working as a supervisor looking to step into a Facilities Supervisor role? Join our friendly and supportive Facilities team as a Facilities Supervisor based at Alderney Hospital.
As the Facilities Supervisor you will be knowledgeable in cleaning processes and have an awareness and understanding of Infection Prevention Control and COSHH. You will have passion to learn on how to lead a team and have experience with staff management. You will ensure the day to day team tasks are also met. Some of your duties will be to carry out cleaning audits, pre planned maintenance, rota planning, and other office based work. What we offer is a robust training and induction programme. Having experience in a similar supervisor role would be essential and we offer ongoing supervision and further development opportunities.
Full time hours: 7.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday and one weekend a month. We can be flexible with starting times.

Main duties of the job- Maintain the grounds and gardens to a tidy and presentable standard.
- Ensure the hospital cleaning service and infection control standards are understood and met.
- Assist in the recruitment, induction, probationary period development and training of staff.
- Ensure correct work methods are observed.
- Ensure all personal and staff training is carried out and complete.

Person Specification- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience in relevant area.
- Previous experience of working within a comparable role.
- Demonstrated awareness and compliance with health and safety legislation.
- Understanding of COSHH.
- Previous experience of providing day to day supervision to staff.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrable skills in written and spoken English to a standard which enables the post holder to carry out the full range of duties and responsibilities of the role effectively.
