Job Description
Knowledge and experience in the following areas is essential: 
- Proven background in the delivery FM, Maintenance and Project Management Services.
- Consistent track record in budget and cost control.
- 2+ years' experience in a managerial role.
- Track record of people management and development.
- Ability to always show a positive attitude towards guests and colleagues.
- Excellent leadership skills
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Ability to plan and prioritize
- Ensure preventive and curative maintenance measures on both the Resort premises and equipment.
- Oversee all refurbishment projects to ensure Health & Safety standards are followed.
- Management of the Maintenance Team, who are responsible for the routine maintenance and upkeep of the Resort facilities, and refurbishment of Resort facilities and services.
- Ensure that all maintenance activities and procedures adhere to applicable Health and Safety legislation, policies, and best practice guidelines.
- Approves work being performed wherever required and ensures that costs are reasonable and in line with budgets.
- Controls and monitors compliance with all aspects of the maintenance role. Ensure that programmes for both Proactive and Reactive Maintenance are in place and are being followed.
- Proactively managing Utilities Management costs and Waste Management costs.
- Ensuring the management of Ad hoc Project Management costs and the timelines of these projects.
- To monitor contractors completing jobs and oversee that the work is completed to the expected standard.
- Develop, maintain and protect health and safety standards in accordance with current health and safety legislation.
- Use knowledge and skills to promote a positive health and safety culture throughout the Resort.
- Prepare health and safety strategies and develop internal policy.
- Keeping the Health & Safety Statement and Fire management up to date and live documented and recorded.
- Keep records of inspection findings and produce reports that suggest improvements.
- Investigate guest and employee accidents and incidents to full conclusion.
- Advise on, and assist with, company employee return to work process subsequent to an accident/illness resulting in personal injury.
- Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all. Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the employer's industry.
- Responsible for ensuring that management and the wider team comply with safety legislation and that safety policies and practices are adopted and adhered to
- Carry out risk assessments, identifying potential hazards and consider how risks could be reduced.
- Outline safe operational procedures which identify and consider all relevant hazards.
- Ensure Resort safety inspections are conducted regularly to ensure that the safety and safety of guests and employees is maintained and to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented.
