Job Description
Facilities Manager

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Facility Manager to join our team in Kilkenny.

Working pattern Monday - Friday: 08:00 to 16:30

Main Duties & Responsibilities
  • Overarching management of plant facilities and soft services teams
  • Lead Facility and Soft Services teams to ensure KPI metrics are consistently achieved
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
  • Report to the site leadership team on current issues, with clear escalation paths
  • Assess and report on the current condition and capacity of plant services
  • Develop and provide future energy strategies for plant upgrades and replacements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and support teams to coordinate preventative maintenance and calibration activities
  • Plan and execute facility-related tasks during annual shutdown periods
  • Provide out-of-hours support during business-critical situations, shutdowns, or facility/plant failures
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in line with CMMS requirements
  • Learn and become proficient in all relevant site systems necessary to perform the role
Requirements
  • Qualification in Facility Engineering or a trade qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar facilities management role
  • Several years' experience working within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in the medical device industry is an advantage
  • Strong business understanding of operations and key performance metrics
  • Proficient PC skills, including MS Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Proven track record in Facility Management
  • High level of customer service and strong interpersonal skills
