Ideal for students looking for holiday work
Flexible hours, paid experience and a friendly place to work
Runshaw College is looking for friendly, reliable students, including family members of existing staff, who would like paid work during the holidays. This casual, bank role is ideal for someone who wants to earn money, build confidence and gain practical workplace experience while still keeping flexibility around study, holidays and other commitments.
It would suit students who enjoy practical work, like being part of a team and are happy to help where needed. You will support our Estates and Facilities team in keeping the campus safe, tidy and welcoming for students, staff and visitors, with varied tasks across our Leyland site.
The role may include helping with room set-ups, moving equipment, keeping outdoor and indoor areas tidy, supporting basic maintenance tasks and responding to day to day requests across college. No two days are quite the same, which is very handy if sitting still is not your favourite skill.
You do not need lots of previous experience. We are looking for people who are dependable, willing to learn, happy to get stuck in and able to communicate well in a busy college environment. It is a useful first step into work for students who want experience they can talk about on future applications, CVs or interviews.
Full training will be provided, including health and safety, First Aid and fire safety. This is a good opportunity to earn money during the holidays, build confidence, gain useful workplace experience and be part of a welcoming college community.
Closing date for this post is 12 noon, Friday 26 th June 2026
Runshaw College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the health, safety and welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We value diversity and welcome applications from all sections of the community, particularly people with protected characteristics.
