We are currently seeking to recruit a Facilities Assistant to join our team at Caithness General Hospital, Wick.
The successful candidate will be based at Caithness General Hospital and will provide services to Catering, Laundry and Domestic services.
Responsibilities- Ensure high standards of service and cleanliness are maintained in line with local infection control policies, COVID-19 guidance, NHS Scotland National Cleaning Services Specification, and Waste Regulations.
- Meet specified cleaning schedules and promote and maintain high standards of cleanliness within the environment.
- Catering duties include regeneration of meals and preparation of salads, sandwiches and snacks.
- Meet specified Laundry Services to the standard of NHS Scotland National Cleaning Services Specifications.
This is a fixed term 15 hour post to March 2027, working a 2 week rota which will include weekend shifts.

Rate of pay from £14.22 an hour with an attractive weekend working rate.
This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Health and Care Worker visa. NHS Highland is unable to provide candidates with a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).
