Our Client is seeking a skilled Fabric Data Engineer to join on a contract basis, playing a crucial role in building and maintaining pipelines using Microsoft Fabric and the Azure stack. This position is pivotal in delivering efficient ETL/ELT workflows, optimising data processes for performance, and ensuring high standards of data quality and governance.

*Responsibilities*
- Build and maintain pipelines in Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Synapse, Dataflows)
- Deliver efficient ETL/ELT workflows from multiple data sources
- Optimise storage, queries, and processing for performance
- Ensure high standards of data quality, governance, and security

*Essential Skills & Experience*
- Proven Data Engineering experience with Microsoft Fabric in production
- Strong SQL; Python or PySpark preferred
- Azure Data Lake, Synapse, and Power BI integration experience
- Knowledge of data modelling and optimisation best practices

*Desirable Skills & Experience*
Additional experience in related technologies would be beneficial but not mandatory.
