Role: Façade Designer

Location: Cork, Co. Cork

Job Type: Permanent - Full time

Your new role includes:

• Develop innovative facade designs that align with architectural concepts and client requirements.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Perform detailed analysis of materials and structural components to ensure facade performance and durability.
• Prepare technical drawings, 3D models, and specifications using CAD and BIM software.
• Conduct site visits to assess installation progress and resolve design related issues.
• Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards.
• Support cost estimation, value engineering, and selection of facade systems and materials.

Experience you need:

• A manufacturing design background is beneficial.
• Proven experience in facade design for commercial and residential buildings.
• Proficiency in CAD and BIM software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, or similar tools.
• Strong knowledge of material science and structural principles related to building envelopes.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Good understanding of local and international building codes and sustainability certifications.
• Excellent problem solving skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities.
