F# Software Developer

Job Title: F-Sharp Software Developer
Location: London (twice a week on site)
Contract Duration: 03 Sep 2025 - 31 Dec 2025
Rate: £320 a day inside IR35
BPSS Eligibility: Required

Role Purpose

To design, develop and enhance robust, efficient, and scalable software solutions using F-Sharp (or strong C-Sharp), applying functional-programming principles within the .NET ecosystem to meet business and technical requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as an F# or C# Developer within .NET environments

• Solid understanding of functional programming concepts

• Familiarity with web and cloud-based application development

• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities

• Ability to think strategically and contribute to change/transformation efforts

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain software applications using F-Sharp

• Enhance and refactor existing .NET codebases

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse requirements

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following secure-coding best practices

• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to standards

• Debug, troubleshoot and resolve software issues

• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and continuous-learning initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field

• Certifications in Microsoft technologies (eg, Azure Developer)

• Experience with secure coding practices and risk/control frameworks

• Exposure to data-science or advanced analytics patterns using F#
