EYFS Graduate Teaching AssistantDo you want a full academic year in EYFS where you build early learning foundations through calm routines, purposeful play, and targeted support? EYFS Graduate Teaching Assistant September 2026 to July 2027 £85 - £95 per day Good primary school, Wolverhampton 1:1, small group and general classroom support across EYFSThe Role: You will support children in Nursery and Reception through a mix of 1:1 support, small group sessions, and general classroom support within provision. Your focus is helping children settle, communicate, and make progress in the core building blocks, language, early literacy, early number, and learning behaviours.You will run short, structured intervention sessions that repeat key skills with high frequency, then help children use those skills back in continuous provision. You will model language, play alongside children to extend talk, and use simple prompts to build vocabulary and sentence structure. You will support early phonics readiness through sound awareness, listening games, and daily routines, plus fine motor practice to strengthen pencil grip and mark making. You will support early maths through counting, number recognition, subitising, and simple comparison using practical resources and clear talk.In the classroom, you will reinforce routines, support transitions, and help children regulate so they are ready to learn. You will keep brief notes on engagement and progress and share updates with the teacher so next steps stay clear. You will follow safeguarding and behaviour expectations every day.The Candidate: You bring warmth, patience, and consistency. You enjoy working with early years children and you keep boundaries professional. You take direction well and you stay calm when a child needs repetition.
- Degree at 2:2 or above in any subject • Confident supporting early language, early literacy, and early number • Comfortable working 1:1 and leading small groups with clear routines • Experience with children through nurseries, schools, tutoring, coaching, camps, youth work, or volunteering is desirable • Professional approach to safeguarding, confidentiality, and behaviour expectations • Enhanced DBS required, plus right to work checks, references, and standard school vetting
