Job Description

We are looking for an experiencedExtruder Operatorto join a long-established and growing manufacturing client based in Grantham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled operator to join a stable and reputable business where your technical ability and attention to detail will be valued.

Rate & Hours
  • £13.80 per hour, increasing to£14.10 after successful completion of 6-month probation
  • Monday-Thursday: 8.00am-4.30pm
  • Friday: 8.00am-1.00pm
Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate and monitor extrusion machinery.
  • Complete machine changeovers and record settings and batch information.
  • Monitor product quality and make adjustments where required.
  • Troubleshoot machinery and production issues.
  • Complete production paperwork accurately.
  • Carry out routine cleaning, maintenance and servicing.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping and follow 5S, GMP and Health & Safety standards.
  • Support the team in achieving production targets.
Requirements
  • Previous extrusion experience is essential.
  • Proven experience operating and setting extrusion machinery.
  • Good mechanical and technical understanding.
  • Ability to identify and resolve machinery or production issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety and GMP procedures.
  • Ability to accurately complete production records and documentation.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
  • Able to work independently and use initiative.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Flexible and willing to support other areas of production when required.
