Experienced Veterinary Surgeon (Full-Time) - Coastal Practice Near Liverpool

An established, RCVS-accredited small animal practice is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join its friendly and supportive team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a Small Animal Vet looking to develop their career in a well-equipped practice located near the stunning Sefton coastline and North Liverpool.

The veterinary team includes several experienced vets and certificate holders in ophthalmology and surgery, creating a collaborative environment with strong clinical support. The practice is also an RCVS-accredited nursing training practice, supported by a skilled and dedicated nursing team.

Across four well-equipped branches, facilities include:

• Digital X-ray
• Ultrasound
• In-house laboratory

The Role

• Full-time, permanent Veterinary Surgeon position (part-time applications considered)
• 4-day working week (8:00am - 6:30pm)
• Saturday rota: 1 in 4 / 1 in 5 (8:30am - 12:00pm)
• No out-of-hours (OOH) or bank holiday work
• Opportunity to work across two practice sites and build a loyal client base

Candidate Requirements

The practice is looking for a confident and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon (RCVS registered) with solid experience in first opinion practice.

The successful candidate will:

• Be comfortable with routine consultations and surgery
• Work both independently (sole charge) and as part of a team
• Demonstrate strong communication and client care skills
• Be willing to share knowledge and contribute to team development

An Official Veterinarian (OV) qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.

Salary & Benefits

• Competitive salary: £45,000 - £60,000 (dependent on experience)
