Experienced Teaching Assistant / All-Age, ASD-Specific SEND School
Posted 1 day 9 hours ago by Axcis Education Recruitment
Axcis are on search for teaching assistants to work in a special school specialising in children with Autism and complex needs. The school caters to children aged 4 to 19 years, tailoring its provision to each individual's needs. We require three 1:1 teaching assistants to work with children with exceptional special needs who can display very challenging behaviour. The perfect teaching assistants will need a very high level of resilience and dedication; consistency is key for all children with SEND needs, and this is 10x as important for these specific individuals with exceptional SEND needs. This is a full time role on a small group and 1:1 basis on an ongoing basis for the 2024/25 academic year. Being able to work independently and as part of a team is key; to take direction from the teacher and implement planning accurately and effectively. Whilst you will be working on a 1:1 basis with a specific individual you will also rotate with the class team, working with other 1:1 children and small groups of children (2 3). This autism specific school is based within North Birmingham. Car parking is available, and the school also has great public transport links.
