An exciting opportunity has arisen for a clinically confident, enthusiastic, experienced Salaried GP to join our friendly and successful training practice, Oak Glen Surgery, for 4 clinical sessions per week (including Thursday and Friday).
CQC rated good for providing effective services and for the care of people with long-term conditions-our teams are committed to delivering high-quality care to our 4,000 patients with a focus on continuity of care.
The Practice is a high-achieving QOF Practice.
We offer training for medical students and GP Registrars and are dedicated members of our Primary Care Network.

Main duties of the jobThe post-holder will undertake all normal duties associated with a GP working within primary care.
About usThe Practice has a friendly and committed team including GPs, ANPs, Practice Nurses, Pharmacist, HCA, along with an experienced managerial and administrative team.
Job responsibilities- Undertake surgery consultations, telephone consultations, home visits, and manage prescriptions and correspondence.
- Make autonomous decisions regarding patient care.
- Assess health needs of patients with undifferentiated problems.
- Screen for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
- Develop care plans in line with current protocols.
- Provide counselling and health education.
- Manage patient caseload, referrals, and record-keeping.
- Prescribe medications according to formulary, avoiding handwritten prescriptions where possible.
- Fully qualified GP eligible to work in NHS.
- MBBS or equivalent.
- Registration with the National Performers List.
- General Practitioner Register under article 10 of the Medical and Specialist Medical Practice Order 2003.
- Clear DBS report.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
- Experience in general practice/primary care.
- Understanding of the needs of vulnerable patient groups.
- Experience with QOF standards.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Supportive of service change initiatives.
- Ability to listen actively and work under pressure.
- Attention to detail and patience.
- Ability to develop evidence-based care and contribute to practice development.
- Experience with clinical IT systems, particularly SystmOne.
