Experienced Project Architect for a Development and Design consultancy

Overview

Our client is a leading Development and Design consultancy, designing and developing multi-use schemes. Acting as architect and developer, they have delivered award-winning hospitality and residential projects in London and the UK. They are based in west London and looking for a fully qualified architect with a minimum of 7 years' experience managing construction projects on-site with strong project and budget management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site construction management and act as architect and developer to ensure the integrity of design and build quality.
• Oversee execution of detail design during construction and administer contracts to ensure compliance and performance.
• Ensure building regulation compliance, critical appraisal of sub-contract proposals, project programming and on-site delivery with quality control.
• Manage refurbishment work and work on residential projects; experience with listed buildings is key.
• Drive design excellence while delivering high-quality, large, complex projects and demonstrating effective project management and leadership.

Qualifications and Skills

• Fully qualified architect with a minimum of 7 years' experience managing construction projects on-site.
• Strong project and budget management skills.
• Extensive experience in execution of detail design during construction, contract administration, regulatory compliance, and appraisal of sub-contract proposals.
• Experience on residential projects and listed buildings is essential.
• Attention to detail and strong visual awareness; experience from design development through to managing construction contracts and refurbishment.
• Proven track record delivering high-quality, large, complex projects; good project management and leadership capabilities.
• Knowledge of UK Building Regulations, construction technology, UK planning policies, and procurement methods.
• Excellent written and spoken English and strong communication and organizational skills.
• Full working experience of Vectorworks is preferred.
