Experienced Kohmann Window Patch Operator

VG MSO Ltd have been in operation for 149 years providing complete sustainable packaging solutions from design through to delivery of cartonboard packaging and labels to the food, drink, pharmaceutical and healthcare markets. We currently employ 170+ people at our factory on the Castlereagh Road in Belfast and are part of the Van Genechten Packaging Group which spans 15 sites across the UK and Europe.

We have an exciting opportunity in our Finishing Department to join a successful, established and growing organisation as a Kohmann Machine Operator.

Main tasks of Job:

• Make ready within optimum time.
• Run the machine at optimum speed whilst ensuring a high level of quality is achieved and maintained.
• Completion of the relevant documentation to support the role.
• Ensure compliance to Company procedures to ensure work is of acceptable quality and systems followed.
• Maintaining the machine whilst ensuring a safe, clean and tidy work environment and completing associated documentation.
• Compliance with all Health & Safety regulations and relevant procedures relating to Hygiene, Pharmaceutical, Quality, Chain of Custody, Environmental and any other Standards that the company may wish to introduce.

• Previous experience setting and operating Kohmann Window Patcher
• Methodical approach with the ability to work of own initiative.
• Good communication skills.
• Willingness to work shifts and overtime.
• Time management skills and the ability to prioritise work
• Previous working experience of performing quality checks

Desirable Requirements

• Previous experience training or mentoring others
