Experienced Cattle Hoof Trimmer - Northern UK

Our client, a respected and trusted dairy cattle foot trimming business, is furthering their growth and expansion and requires a new member of their trimming team. Based in Lancashire but covering all areas of the UK - particularly the midlands north - some of the largest and best managed herds trust this business to keep the cows on their feet, through regular, proactive hoof trimming and with a consultative approach to mobility and hoof health. The role as trimmer would entail working as part of a trimming team and on occasion alone, on farms across the country and so beside the obvious trimming experience required, a willingness to travel is essential.

Hoof trimming at farm level would be a minimal requirement but commercial experience preferred with formal qualifications highly desired. Full training in the latest methods, as undertaken by the business, will be given and an understanding of the hoof, the importance of mobility in our herds and the effects of poor hoof health are a must. Alongside this you will be highly organised, have excellent cattle handling skills and be able to communicate effectively with the farmer customers as you represent this repeated and highly regarded business.
