Job Title: Experienced Assistant Buyer (Level 3) / Entry Junior Buyer

Reports To: Senior Buyer

Main Function: To support and assist the Senior Buyer in delivering the business strategy for our organisation. We are looking for a great communicator, someone strong at building partnerships internally and externally, with an eye for product and detail, and a great fit for our team.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for selecting sports brands in collaboration with the Senior Buyer and Merchandising department.
2. Support and assist in buying branded footwear ranges from global sports brands.
3. Independently buy and support the Senior Buyer to build commercially viable product ranges that reflect the schuh brand image and current trends.
4. Work closely with the Merchandising team and, with guidance from the Senior Buyer, manage and deliver departmental strategies to achieve target margins, sales, and profit plans.
5. Ensure that ranges are bought and delivered on time within OTB requirements.
6. Use sales and performance data to identify opportunities to maximize sales.
7. Maintain strong competitor awareness and market understanding.
8. Manage and support BAA's within the team.
9. Act as an ambassador for the Buying team, collaborating with Retail, Marketing, E-commerce, and Merchandising to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
