Excellence in Care Lead Nurse

Excellence in Care is a national nursing initiative developed by the Chief Nursing Officer. The aim of this project is that all NHS boards will have consistent and robust processes and systems for measuring, assuring and reporting on the quality of nursing care and practice in place. The systems will inform quality of care reviews at national and local level and drive continuous improvements in nursing and midwifery care quality.
We have an exciting secondment opportunity to support the continued implementation and embedding of EiC within the Board, supporting all aspects of this and the opportunity to work with colleagues across the wider nursing dept and nationally in developing the quality standards to assure care is of high quality and person centred. The post holder(s) will work closely with the Associate Nurse Directors, eHealth and Clinical Governance colleagues.
Responsibilities- Support the continued implementation and embedding of Excellence in Care (EiC) within the Board.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the wider nursing department and nationally to develop quality standards to assure high-quality, person-centred care.
- Work closely with the Associate Nurse Directors, eHealth and Clinical Governance colleagues.
- Registered Adult Nurse and educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Experience at a senior level and experience of implementing quality improvement, and undertaken QI training.
