The Events Manager is responsible for the end to end operational planning and delivery of all estate wide events, activations and commercialisation activity across the King's Cross estate, ensuring safe, compliant and high quality outcomes aligned to KXG strategy.
Key Responsibilities Overarching- Support the Senior Events Experience Manager in the planning, coordination and delivery of the year round estate events programme in line with KXG's Events, Enlivenment and Commercialisation strategy.
- Act as the operational lead on site, resolving logistical issues and ensuring successful delivery of all events and activations.
- Support the identification and delivery of commercialisation opportunities across the estate.
- Alongside the Assistant Events Manager, manage event, filming, commercialisation and brand activation enquiries for King's Cross.
- Gather and assess relevant operational information to present viable event opportunities to KXG for consideration.
- Liaise with KXG and external agencies to support enquiry evaluation and delivery planning.
- Lead clear, consistent communication with event operators, producers, agencies, KXG and internal teams to align messaging, logistics and operational delivery.
- Liaise with KXG and their respective communications agencies on event logistics updates.
- Act as the primary point of contact for retailers and commercial occupiers on all event related activity.
- Proactively manage communication, feedback and operational impacts through to resolution.
- Represent the events function at Retail and Building Forums, clearly communicating upcoming activity and potential impacts.
- Line manage the Assistant Events Manager, supporting induction, training and ongoing development.
- Work with the Senior Events Experience Manager to deliver effective team induction processes for events.
- Undertake additional duties reasonably required to support the successful delivery of the estate events programme.
- Actively identify opportunities to enhance customer experience through collaboration with event operators and internal teams.
- Produce pre and post event reports and support event feasibility assessments, data analysis and feedback for KXG.
- Lead all on site operational delivery, including event build, activation and de rig.
- Coordinate logistics, equipment, service partners and internal teams to ensure safe and efficient delivery.
- Act as the on site point of contact, leading inductions and operational briefings.
- Arrange and attend event planning and delivery meetings, including weekly operational briefings with service partners and KCES teams.
- Work collaboratively with Health & Safety, Security, Retail, Estates, Engineering and Environmental Services to maintain business as usual estate operations during events.
- Raise and track invoices, POs and payments for events, commercial activations and filming.
- Obtain quotes from suppliers, track costs and ensure services are delivered to required standards.
- Support budget tracking and forecasting in line with estate service charge budgets.
- Create, update and manage event contracts and licences, ensuring all agreements are in place.
- Ensure event organisers comply with approved plans, site rules and licensing conditions.
- Undertake Schedule of Conditions reports and pre event opening checks, providing safe consent to commence.
- Maintain accurate event records, legal trackers, Asana project plans and event documentation.
- Support procurement activity in line with company tender guidelines and contracted service standards.
- Monitor and audit service delivery through inspections and direct liaison with service partners.
- Own and champion health, safety, risk management and compliance across all event and commercialisation activity, including B2B and B2C events.
- Ensure statutory, contractual and site specific requirements are met, with full H&S documentation, RAMS and permits in place prior to event approval.
- Monitor contractor and organiser compliance on site, taking corrective action and escalating risk where necessary.
- Support the implementation of Martyn's Law across the estate's event programme.
- Actively support and promote sustainability, ESG and social value initiatives across the event portfolio, working with specialist teams and partners.
This role requires on site oversight of events, including some evenings and weekends, with time off in lieu provided. The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and responsibilities may evolve in line with the role.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience Essential- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.
- Strong knowledge of health & safety in event delivery.
- Proven experience delivering large scale events within complex, multi use environments.
- Ability to support and deliver commercialisation opportunities.
- Strong communication skills with operational teams, partners and client representatives.
- Experience managing and supporting team members.
- Available to work some weekends.
- Understanding of event power distribution.
- Experience delivering events in public realm environments.
- Knowledge of service charge budgeting and property management contexts.
Working Hours - 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm (with flexibility for event oversight, including out of hours and weekends; time off in lieu provided).
Salary - £60,000
