About the Role:
The London Borough of Harrow is seeking a highly organised and enthusiastic Event Coordinator to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of a wide range of community, corporate, and civic events across the borough.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the planning and delivery of events from concept through to completion.
- Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, contractors, community groups, and external stakeholders.
- Manage event schedules, logistics, venue bookings, and supplier arrangements.
- Ensure events are delivered safely and in line with council policies, procedures, and health & safety requirements.
- Support the preparation and management of event budgets.
- Coordinate event marketing and communications activities where required.
- Attend events and provide on-site support to ensure smooth delivery.
- Monitor and evaluate event success, producing post-event reports and recommendations.
- We are looking for a candidate who has:
- Previous experience in event planning, coordination, or project support.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with a variety of internal and external partners.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work calmly under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Knowledge of health and safety considerations within events (desirable).
