Evening Operations Supervisor Permanent Dartford, Kent Posted 3 days ago £35000 - £40000 per annum

Working hours 1:00pm - 10:00pm Monday - Friday

• Reporting to the Distribution Manager.
• Working 5 days out of 7 with occasional 6th shift.
• To ensure the operation is compliant in terms of Health & Safety and Legal Compliance procedures.
• The role involves planning the daily distribution from three depots, under the constraints of timings, load fill & availability of resource. Allocating work to drivers, sub-contractors, arranging start times and ensuring that they depart on time. Dealing with vehicle breakdowns and changing the planning accordingly.
• Negotiate best rates from sub-contractors
• Planning the activities, resources to achieve financial, operational, and customer service objectives.
• To achieve KPIs, changing priorities where necessary and be proactive in looking for continuous improvements.
• To ensure company policies are adhered to and administration functions completed within deadlines and maintain accurate records in line with customer/company requirements.
• To promote harmonious and effective working relationships both internally and externally, ensuring excellent customer service through a combination of communication, teamwork, motivation and leadership.
