We are currently recruiting for an Evening Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join our team.

Position Overview

The Evening Assistant Housekeeping Manager is responsible for supporting the Housekeeping Manager in delivering exceptional cleanliness and guest experiences during evening operations. This role ensures that all guest rooms, suites, and public areas reflect the luxury hotel's five-star standards while leading a professional housekeeping team with a focus on detail, discretion, and personalized service.

Key Responsibilities Luxury Standards & Guest Experience
  • Ensure all guest rooms, suites, corridors, and public areas are maintained to the hotel's luxury brand standards during evening service
  • Oversee evening turndown service, VIP amenities, and special guest requests
  • Conduct detailed inspections of rooms and public spaces, ensuring immaculate presentation
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns, resolving issues with discretion and care
  • Collaborate with Guest Relations to deliver personalized experiences for VIP and high-profile guests
Leadership & Team Management
  • Supervise, coach, and motivate the evening housekeeping team to deliver five-star service
  • Allocate daily assignments based on occupancy, arrivals, departures, and events
  • Provide hands-on training in luxury cleaning techniques, turndown etiquette, and guest interaction
  • Promote a culture of pride, attention to detail, and anticipatory service
  • Ensure grooming, uniform, and professional conduct standards are maintained
Operations & Coordination
  • Coordinate closely with Front Office, Facilities, Laundry, to ensure seamless operations
  • Monitor room status and prioritize urgent cleaning requests
  • Manage linen, minibar, amenities, and housekeeping supplies to required par levels
  • Oversee lost property procedures in line with hotel policy
  • Ensure correct handling of guest belongings with confidentiality and respect
Health, Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to hygiene, sanitation, and COSHH/chemical safety standards
  • Maintain safe working practices and correct use of equipment
  • Support sustainability initiatives and waste-reduction programs
Administration
  • Prepare evening reports, handover logs, and incident records
  • Assist with performance reviews
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and departmental training plans
Skills & Experience Required
  • Strongly requested minimum 2 years' supervisory experience in a luxury or five-star hotel
  • Strong understanding of high-end housekeeping and turndown standards
  • Exceptional attention to detail and presentation
  • Excellent communication and guest-handling skills
  • Ability to lead a multicultural team in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with hotel PMS/housekeeping systems (e.g., Opera, HotSOS)
  • Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
