Title: Road Freight Forwarder

Location: Dublin North

Terms: Full-time, permanent, office-based

Package: €42,000 + Pension & Bonus

Are you an experienced Road Freight Forwarder looking for new challenge? A long-established North Dublin forwarder is looking for an experienced European Freight Forwarder.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Book and engage carriers for international transport requirements
• Negotiating rates as and when required
• Preparation of documentation associated with all aspects of the transport function, incl. Custom Clearance
• Perform general administration duties, including invoicing, filing, queries, claims and cost checks in accordance with departmental requirements
• Maintain regular visibility of all transports under your control
• Be proactive in managing and dealing with problems and day-to-day queries
• Ensure revenue/profit guidelines are met in accordance with budgetary requirements
• Be proficient and accurate in issuing quotations

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' recent experience working in European Road Freight Forwarding
• Excellent problem-solving, planning and organising skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong administrative and customer service skills
• Ability to work on own initiative and be self-driven
• Attention to detail
• Computer literate
