Job Overview

As an Etsy/Online Shop Owner, you will create, market, and manage an online product business, delivering high quality physical or digital items to a global audience via an Etsy shop, a Shopify store, or both.

Responsibilities

• Produce or source products and create engaging product photography.
• Write compelling titles, tags, and descriptions to optimize Etsy SEO and drive discovery.
• Manage inventory, order fulfilment, packaging, and shipping logistics.
• Provide responsive customer service, collect reviews and referrals, and maintain positive seller ratings.
• Run targeted advertising (e.g., Etsy Ads) and other marketing activities to build sales velocity.
• Reinvest profits into additional listings, improved product photography, and marketing experiments.

Qualifications

• Hands on experience with product photography or design, with a strong portfolio or demonstrable track record.
• Proficiency in Etsy SEO and the use of keyword research tools such as EverBee or Marmalead.
• Ability to manage inventory, handle shipping protocols, and maintain accurate records.
• Strong communication skills and a customer first mindset.
• Self motivated, entrepreneurial spirit, and the capacity to work independently from a home based setting.
• Understanding of UK tax and regulatory requirements for self employment, including HMRC registration, UTR, VAT thresholds, and distance selling regulations.
