Job Description

Help us create welcoming, inspiring spaces at Derian House! Every room in our hospice plays an important role in bringing comfort, joy, and positivity to the babies, children, young people, and families we support.

We're looking for a Building Painter & Decorating Volunteer with experience to support our Facilities Team in keeping all rooms and corridors looking their best. Whether working independently or as part of a team, your skills will make a real difference to our hospice environment, helping create fun and welcoming spaces that everyone can enjoy.

What you'll be doing:
  • Prepare and paint walls, woodwork, and other surfaces
  • Apply finishes and decorative touches to create fun, inviting spaces
  • Work independently or collaboratively on projects with our facilities team.
  • Maintain a safe environment for yourself and others, in accordance with Health & Safety policies and risk assessments

The minimum age of volunteering is 18yrs. We ask all applicants to disclose, in confidence, any unspent criminal convictions in advance of a DBS check. All volunteers are required to wear a uniform, which will be provided free of charge
