Job Description
MPLOY Staffing Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a respected charitable housing organisation for an experienced Estate & Housing Manager.
This is a varied standalone role combining housing management, resident welfare, estate maintenance, compliance, and governance support.
You'll be the main point of contact for residents, contractors, and external agencies, helping to ensure a safe, supportive, and well-maintained community.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the lettings process from enquiry to occupancy, including applications, assessments, and resident onboarding
- Ensure tenancy and occupancy agreements are maintained and compliant
- Act as the primary point of contact for residents, responding to day-to-day enquiries and welfare concerns
- Liaise with healthcare professionals, social services, families, and support agencies to ensure residents receive appropriate support
- Promote community activities and help maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment
- Conduct regular property inspections and identify maintenance requirements
- Source, instruct, and manage contractors for planned and reactive maintenance works
- Ensure communal areas, grounds, buildings, security systems, and estate facilities are maintained to a high standard
- Maintain health & safety systems, fire safety records, risk assessments, and statutory compliance
- Support Trustee meetings, prepare reports, maintain records, and ensure GDPR compliance
Essential
- CIH Level 4 Certificate in Housing (or equivalent)
- Previous housing management experience
- Experience managing contractors and property maintenance
- Strong understanding of housing legislation and compliance
- Excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent qualification
- Experience working with older or vulnerable adults
- Knowledge of the Almshouse sector
