This position will report into Legal and Compliance and the ideal candidate will have 1+ year of experience within ESG/governance, compliance, legal, or a related role. Job Description
The ESG & Compliance Specialist - Manufacturing will be responsible for the following:
- Develop, implement, and manage ESG initiatives aligned with company goals, stakeholder expectations, and regulatory requirements.
- Collect, analyze, and report ESG data and KPIs, including emissions, energy use, labor practices, supply chain sustainability, and community impact.
- Lead ESG-related disclosures and ensure alignment with reporting frameworks (e.g., SASB, TCFD, GRI, CDP) and emerging regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, HR, EHS, Procurement, Finance) to drive ESG performance and continuous improvement.
- Monitor ESG trends, peer benchmarking, and upcoming regulatory changes, including SEC climate-related and human capital disclosures.
- Assist with the preparation of ESG-related content for public filings and investor reports (e.g., 10-K, 10-Q, Proxy Statement, Sustainability Report).
- Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's compliance and ethics program.
- Draft and update internal compliance policies, procedures, and training materials.
- Conduct periodic compliance risk assessments, audits, and internal investigations.
- Track and interpret new regulations affecting the company, including environmental, labor, trade, and data privacy laws.
- Assist with internal reporting to senior leadership, the Audit Committee, or Board of Directors as needed.
- Manage third-party due diligence and monitor vendor compliance programs.

The Successful Applicant
The ideal ESG & Compliance Specialist - Manufacturing will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; sustainability, compliance, business, environmental, or a related field preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in ESG, sustainability, corporate compliance, or legal risk management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Familiarity with SEC disclosure requirements and public company governance expectations, including climate-related, cybersecurity, and human capital disclosures.
- Experience with ESG reporting frameworks and regulatory standards (e.g., CSRD, SEC climate disclosure rules) is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of U.S. and international compliance standards (e.g., FCPA, GDPR, OFAC, OSHA) a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead initiatives independently.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
- Passion for ESG issues and ethical business practices.

- Base Salary of $55,000-$85,000 depending on experience
