Job Description
Responsibilities 
- Requirement gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements for equity derivatives trading, risk management, and operations.
- Process analysis: Analyze current business processes related to equity derivatives and identify areas for improvement, ensuring efficiency and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Solution design: Work with IT teams to design and implement solutions that meet business needs, including trading platforms, risk management systems, and reporting tools.
- Data analysis: Perform data analysis to support decision making processes, including trade performance, risk exposure and market trends.
- Documentation: Produce business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, use cases and user stories.
- Testing and validation: Develop and execute test plans to ensure implemented solutions meet requirements, validating data accuracy and system functionality.
- Stakeholder management: Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including traders, quants, risk managers and IT teams, to ensure alignment and understanding of project goals and progress.
- Regulatory compliance: Ensure that all business processes and systems comply with relevant regulations, including MiFID II, EMIR and other applicable standards.
- Training and support: Provide training and support to end users to ensure effective use of new systems and processes.
- Equity derivatives: In depth knowledge of equity derivatives products, including options, futures, swaps and structured products.
- Trading and risk management: Understanding of trading strategies, risk management practices and market dynamics related to equity derivatives.
- Regulatory environment: Familiarity with the regulatory landscape affecting equity derivatives, including key regulations and compliance requirements.
- Trading platforms: Experience with Bloomberg, Reuters or proprietary systems.
- Risk management systems: Knowledge of risk management tools and systems used in the equity derivatives market.
- Data analysis tools: Proficiency in Excel, SQL and statistical software such as R or Python.
- Project management tools: Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence or Trello.
- Reporting and visualization: Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI or QlikView.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the financial services industry, with a focus on equity derivatives.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CFA, FRM or PMI PBA are a plus.
- Soft skills: Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills; ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple stakeholders.
