BCL Legal is pleased to be assisting a top ranked national law firm seeking an Environmental (Regulatory/Compliance) Managing Associate to join its award-winning Planning & Environment team. This Environmental Solicitor opportunity is offered on a full-time, permanent basis with hybrid working as standard and flexible office location. Excellent salary and benefits on offer.

The Role

As an Environmental (Regulatory/Compliance) Managing Associate in this national team, you will:
Join a multi-disciplinary group of environmental lawyers, planning lawyers, and consultants advising on high-profile matters across the development, energy and waste sectors.
Work alongside a Chambers and Legal 500 ranked partner on complex advisory and regulatory matters including environmental permitting, waste regulation, pollution incidents, contaminated land, and climate change.
Provide strategic compliance advice and risk management support, including in relation to environmental criminal defence.
Support corporate and real estate transactions with environmental due diligence and risk allocation advice.
Advise a diverse client base including national housebuilders, energy operators, manufacturers, regulators, local authorities, and utilities providers.

About You

To be successful in your application for this Environmental Solicitor vacancy, you will have:
A minimum of 6 years' PQE with demonstrable experience in environmental law, particularly in permitting, waste, contamination, and compliance.
Experience advising on corporate/real estate transactions, regulatory investigations, and/or criminal environmental matters.
A commercial, solutions-focused mindset with strong communication skills.
