We currently have 2 vacancies in Skipton for an Environmental Vehicle Plant Operator (Waste & Street Scene) working the following shifts - 1 x Tuesday - Friday (Mechanical Sweeper Driver)
The role:Working in small crews, you will be collecting waste from the local area using small collection vehicles. This will include
- Collecting bulky waste
- Emptying litter bins around the district
- Attending fly tips
- Assisting day to day operations in collecting waste
- Delivery of Bins and other items in vans
- Operating small waste collection vehicles to empty litter bins around the district
- Operating small foot path sweepers
- Collecting bulky waste from residents' houses
- Attending fly tip collections
- You must have at least a 7.5 ton driving entitlement
- Some knowledge and experience of operations of a goods vehicle
- A focus and knowledge of safe working practices and general Health and Safety principles
- Up to date CPC with a minimum of 2-3 years of validity
