Enterprise Data Architect
Our client, a leader in the financial services sector, is looking for a Enterprise Data Architect to play a critical role in defining and driving forward a next-generation data landscape. This is an exciting contract opportunity to lead high-impact architecture initiatives, collaborate with senior leadership, and influence data transformation at scale. Job Responsibilities
- Review and define the current and future state of enterprise data architecture across various business units.
- Evaluate and refine data models and architectural blueprints, incorporating industry best practices.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to secure alignment and support for data strategy roadmaps.
- Lead the analysis and redesign of existing data infrastructure including cloud migration and backup architecture.
- Provide architectural guidance to internal data engineering and analytics teams across project life cycles.
- Act as a key liaison between the data strategy function and centralised governance teams.
- Champion adherence to internal data standards, data governance frameworks, and regulatory compliance.
- Represent the data architecture function in technical forums and cross-functional committees.
Experience Required
- Minimum 5 years' experience in data architecture, data modelling, and data strategy development.
- Proven track record in delivering enterprise-wide architecture and data integration projects.
- Expertise in designing and implementing scalable cloud and on-prem data solutions.
- Strong understanding of data management principles including governance and quality.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence cross-functional stakeholders including senior leadership.
- Familiarity with tools such as Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, Oracle, SQL Server, and Power BI/Tableau.
- Working knowledge of regulatory requirements such as GDPR and data retention standards.
- Experience integrating modern BI platforms with Legacy data environments.
- Exposure to data governance frameworks and enterprise architecture methodologies (eg, TOGAF).
