Enterprise Architect (Contract)

A global Insurer is looking for an Enterprise Architect to lead the architecture and design of a major core-system transformation, aligning technology strategy with business goals and ensuring scalable, compliant, enterprise-wide solutions.

Responsibilities of the Enterprise Architect:

• Own and define enterprise architecture aligned to overall technology strategy.
• Partner with business and tech leaders to identify gaps and shape transformation solutions.
• Build and maintain target-state architectures and multi-year roadmaps for core insurance domains.
• Connect engineering and architecture teams to drive standards and best practices.
• Apply industry trends and emerging technologies to inform decisions.
• Ensure compliance with cyber, risk, and regulatory requirements.
• Advise senior leadership on architectural direction and solution recommendations.
• Provide inputs and guidance for architecture reviews to meet program objectives.

Essential skills for the Enterprise Architect:

• 10+ years in enterprise or lead solution architecture within insurance.
• Strong technical depth in insurance platforms (PAS, CMS, pricing).
• Solid data expertise (MDM, warehousing, analytics, ML, pipelines).
• Proven leadership on large-scale core system transformations.
• Deep knowledge of insurance processes, products, and regulations.
• Experience with modernization, automation, and engineering excellence.

Rate: £900 - £1000 P/D Inside IR35

Contract length: 6 months

Location: Central London, EC3A/WFH hybrid
