Responsibilities Groundworker:- Perform ground preparation, excavation, and trenching tasks.
- Lay foundations, drainage systems, and other essential groundwork.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Direct and guide vehicles and machinery on-site to ensure safe operations.
- Communicate effectively with drivers and operators to prevent accidents.
- Monitor site activities and report any safety concerns.
- Assist with general site duties as required.
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, loaders, and other plant equipment.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues.
- Work closely with the Banksman to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and site regulations.
- Proven experience in civil engineering or construction roles.
- Relevant certifications for each role (e.g., CSCS card, CPCS/NPORS for Machine Operators).
- Strong understanding of health and safety practices on construction sites.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements.
