You will be supporting pupils in Wellingborough and the surrounding areas, delivering engaging and high-quality English lessons across a range of year groups as part of a Class Act supply role.
Duties as English Teacher:- Deliver engaging and well-structured English lessons using provided plans
- Teach key curriculum areas including English language, literature, reading, and writing
- Support pupils in developing communication, comprehension, and critical thinking skills
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of mixed-ability learners
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
- Assess and record pupil progress where required
- Contribute to departmental collaboration during longer-term placements
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and purposeful learning environment
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge in English language and literature
- Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to inspire and engage pupils across KS3 and KS4
- Adaptable across different schools and teaching environments
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Professional, reliable, and enthusiastic about English teaching
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
