English Teacher Leeds

About the role:

Justteachers are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to work in a supportive secondary school in Leeds. This full time position is to start immediately and will run until the end of the academic year, with the potential for future opportunities within the trust.

This is an excellent role for an experienced teacher or a confident ECT looking to develop their practice in a well established English department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high quality English lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Plan, prepare, and assess work in line with curriculum expectations
• Inspire students to develop strong literacy, analytical, and communication skills
• Create a positive and engaging learning environment
• Use effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a productive classroom
• Track pupil progress and provide constructive feedback
• Contribute to departmental planning and whole school initiatives
• Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote student wellbeing

Pre requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature
• Experience teaching in UK secondary schools (ECTs welcome)
• A current enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one through Justteachers
• Two school based references.
