English Teacher - Short-Term Placement (6 Weeks)

Secondary School Walsall Area January Start

We are working with a large, well-established secondary academy in the Walsall area to appoint an English specialist for a 6 week placement from January.

This is a forward thinking academy within a national multi academy trust, known for clear behaviour systems, strong leadership presence, and a structured approach to teaching and learning. The school serves a diverse community and places a strong emphasis on consistency, routines, and high expectations.

The Role
  • Teaching English across KS3 and KS4
  • Full teaching responsibility, including planning and marking
  • Well resourced English department with shared schemes of work
  • Supportive on site leadership and pastoral structures
  • Clear behaviour policy that is consistently applied across the school
The Ideal Candidate
  • QTS preferred, however the school is open to strong instructors
  • Minimum 6 months' experience teaching English long term
  • Confident with planning, delivery, and marking
  • Calm, resilient, and consistent classroom presence
  • Comfortable working in a structured, high expectations environment
