English Lead Practitioner

Ron Dearing University Technical College (RDUTC) seeks an English Lead Practitioner.

The successful candidate will work with the Senior Assistant Principal Teaching & Learning and the wider Leadership Team to:

• Lead on the quality assurance of teaching and learning across the curriculum via scrutiny of curriculum plans, lesson visits and work scrutiny
• Mentor teachers on the Good to Outstanding programme
• Mentor ECTs and SCITTs
• Deliver CPD to support inclusive teaching and learning across the school
• Teach English Language and English Literature to GCSE
• Lead strategies to make English as a subject relevant to the world of work
• Co-ordinate employer- engaged learning within the English department
• Support students with writing CVs, personal statements and letters of application for university, jobs and apprenticeships
• Contribute to strategies to raise students' awareness of English-related careers
