Our apprenticeship programs and corporate training schemes have helped thousands of people further their careers and become hugely successful.

Due to continued business growth, we are now looking to expand our team by recruiting a new Engineering Instructor & Coach to work across our centers in Cosham/Havant in Portsmouth. This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Your New Role

As an Engineering Instructor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality training and support to apprentices studying their combined CMI & HNC qualifications as part of the Process Leader Level 4 apprenticeship program.

Your duties will include:

1. Developing training modules, manuals, guides, and presentations that are user-friendly and easily comprehensible.
2. Customizing training programs to meet the specific needs and skill levels of different target audiences.
3. Providing clear explanations and demonstrations of software functionalities and features, ensuring participants grasp concepts effectively.
4. Providing ongoing support to trainees, addressing questions, troubleshooting issues, and offering guidance related to software usage. Marking work when necessary.
5. Writing clear and concise educational content, ensuring it is age-appropriate, engaging, and accessible to the target audience.
6. Designing curriculum frameworks, units, lesson plans, and instructional sequences that align with educational goals and standards.
7. Customizing educational content to cater to diverse learners, including different age groups, learning styles, and abilities.
8. Creating formative and summative assessments, including quizzes, tests, projects, and rubrics, to evaluate student understanding and progress.

• Teaching qualifications and a genuine passion for education.
• Up-to-date knowledge about manufacturing and industry processes.
• Proven teaching experience.
• Expertise in training HNC units including Industry 4.0 & 4074 Workplace study/ergonomics.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Full driving license and own car (highly desirable).
