It's hands-on, fast-paced and full of variety - perfect for someone who enjoys problem-solving, leading by example, and driving standards forward.

What's in it for you?

  • Discounts across supermarkets, retailers, entertainment and more
  • Electric car and cycle to work schemes
  • Life assurance and income protection
  • Ongoing leadership development and technical training
  • Onsite health checks, flu jabs, and wellbeing support
  • A strong internal culture - social events, community work, and team rewards
  • A business recognised as a Great Place to Work
What you'll be doing:
  • Leading the night engineering team - setting the pace and owning performance
  • Managing priorities and coordinating breakdown response
  • Ensuring planned maintenance is completed effectively
  • Supporting your team with technical guidance and coaching
  • Taking part in RCA, CI projects, and asset care improvements
  • Driving a strong safety-first culture across all engineering activity
  • Communicating clearly with day teams and other departments
  • Owning shift reports, CMMS updates, and stock control disciplines
What you'll need:
  • Time-served or formally qualified (NVQ Level 3 / HNC or equivalent)
  • Strong engineering background - mechanical and/or electrical
  • Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
  • Previous leadership experience - whether formal or informal
  • Calm, confident decision-making under pressure
  • Strong communicator who can get the best out of others
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach to people, kit and process
  • Sound knowledge of compliance: PUWER, LOLER, and health & safety standards
